yeasayer's album, all hour cymbals really is a difficult one to compare to anything else and if a few of the tracks take a while to get into, most hit the spot very well indeed. prime amongst these is the fabulous 2080 - a lament for the planet which rings out over crystal clear production and is topped off with a marvelous multi-person chorus at the end. it is not jawdroppingly good, but it's definitely one of the most refreshing new albums released in 2007.

i think to start off i'll explain about the name; pheonix in flight & pheonix in flames are both songs on the converge album, jane doe. it's a very important album to me and i try and recommend it to anyone i think will appreciate it as often as i can.
